About this site

On November 10, 2011, Diana Hawks passed suddenly and unexpectedly from this life. Just a few weeks earlier, she had finished packing up all her wordly possessions to move out from Oklahoma to Utah. While preparing for a new life closer to her five daughters, she was unknowingly preparing for a new life without them. She packed up her whole life, and now her family must unpack it. This blog is for them. They need to find that balance between moving on and remembering their dear mother. Every person deals with loss differently. Some

Each item from Diana's life that Dad is not keeping will be posted on here. Some pictures will evoke dear memories, tender stories, and laughter. Others will make the daughters wonder why their mother owned something so…

As the daughters feel it is appropriate, they will post their thoughts, memories, stories, and kind words attached to the picture. When the last item is posted, and the daughters have added their thoughts and feelings, the blog will be turned into a book, forever memorializing Diana Hawks, the life she led, and the influence she had on her five daughters.

Diana loved her grandchildren, and many of them will not have an opportunity to know her. This blog and eventual book will give them an insight into her personality, style, and passions.
